Dental Hygienist

Madellyn graduated from the Westmead College of Dental Therapy in 1983 and went on to study Dental Hygiene at the University of Queensland and Public Health at Queensland University of Technology, achieving a Bachelors Degree in Health Science.

Madellyn has attained a wealth of experience having worked in the dental profession for over 30 years and in many different dental settings across the ACT, NSW, QLD and Northern territory.

Madellyn has enhanced her orthodontic skills working alongside of Dr. Spiro Pazios since she joined the Embrace Orthodontists team in 2006. She finds working in orthodontics constantly evolving and challenging as new and exciting technologies are introduced and thrives on learning new skills that benefit both the Practice and Patients.

Madellyn is a professional, friendly member of our staff who loves her work as part of the Hygienist team and is committed to providing excellent service to our patients.



Dental Hygienist

Sandra started her dental career in 1993 as a dental assistant working in both the private and public sectors for 10 years. During that time Sandra completed numerous dental courses at CIT and in 2003 went on to study at Gilles Plains TAFE in Adelaide attaining her Diploma in Dental Hygiene.

After graduating, Sandra returned to Canberra as a qualified Dental Hygienist working in both general and specialists’ surgeries continuing to provide professional dental care to her patients.

Sandra joined the Embrace Orthodontists team in October 2009 working in both our Belconnen and Manuka practices. Sandra thoroughly enjoys with such fun, motivating and knowledgeable colleagues.



Dental Hygienist

Kathryn has been a vital part of the Embrace Orthodontists team for over 6 years.

Kathryn graduated in 1989 with a Advanced Diploma of Oral Hygiene and has worked in Orthodontics and General Dentistry ever since. Prior to her dental hygiene qualification Kathryn worked in specialist dental surgeries as a dental assistant.

Kathryn regularly travels to seminars all over Australia to further her education and is an active member of the local branch of the DHAA and is currently Branch President.

At Embrace Orthodontists Kathryn enjoys removing braces and the educational and preventative aspects of her profession.



Dental Hygienist

Claire holds an Advanced Diploma in Oral Health and Certificate IV in Dental Assisting. Her specialist training includes Panoramic Radiography, Intra Oral Radiography, General Anaesthesia & IV Sedation.

Claires industry experience includes Endodontics, Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery, Periodontics & Dental Implants as well as General Dentistry. Claire brings a wealth of experience to Embrace.

Orthodontic Assistants



Clinical Co-ordinator and SureSmile Co-ordinator

Stacey is our Clinical and Suresmile Co-ordinator. She joined our practice in 2010. She has been in the Dental industry for 4 years prior to joining our team and has extensive knowledge in many various fields including in Orthodontics, General Dental and Prosthodontics.

Stacey has expanded her clinical experience with a Certificate III in Dental Assisting and Certificate IV in Radiography and extended duties. Stacey has taken part in many professional development courses to further increase her broad knowledge of the Dental Industry. Stacey undertakes various duties including the taking of 3D Scans and impressions, assisting with Dr. Pazios and Suresmile Submissions.

Stacey is also currently undergoing additional studies in Oral Health Promotion.



Dental Assistant & Treatment Co-ordinator

Sharon has been part of our Embrace Orthodontists team for over 10 years. She is a highly experienced Dental Assistant. Sharon is multi-skilled, she is able to jump on reception to help out our team and patients and she is also a Treatment Co-ordinator.




Office Manager

Helen has been a part of the Embrace Orthodontists team for over 4 years. She worked in General Dentistry for over 7 years and started at Embrace Orthodontists as a receptionist. Helen has attained a Certificate III in Aged Care.

Helen has also furthered her education by attending numerous courses regarding Orthodontics and Orthodontic software programming. She is an extremely valuable member of our practice and oversees many projects as well as the day to day efficiency of the practice.



Reception & Treatment Co-ordinator

Erin has been with Embrace Orthodontists for 10 years. Being a trained Dental Assistant as well as a Receptionist, Erin is able to help explain the different treatment types available to our patients and what to expect at each appointment. If a patient has a concern during treatment such as a loose wire, Erin can assist our patients over the phone and advise what steps to take.



Reception and Indirect Braces Technician

Katrina started her career in the Dental Industry in 1996 where she was employed by Dr. Peter Boyle in Belconnen. She completed her Certificate III in Dental Assisting at the CIT campus in Bruce in 1997 graduating at the top of her class. She continued to work with Dr. Peter Boyle in all areas of the practice including assisting, sterilization, reception and stock management. During her time there she also had the opportunity to work with Dr. Jim Grainer assisting in the removal of wisdom teeth under intravenous sedation. In 2003 she left the practice to raise her family.

Katrina is a vital part of our technical team. Using the latest Indirect Bonding Technology, Katrina ensures that braces are made to the Orthodontists specifications and treatment plan. The Indirect bonding technique allows the Doctor and technicians to produce braces that are more accurately placed on each tooth. The transfer process of the Indirect technique means that we can build the braces before the patient arrives and the appliance is simply transferred onto the patients teeth comfortably and in less time.
