Embrace Orthodontists are your most experienced Invisalign providers in Canberra. We give more new smiles to more patients using Invisalign than any other practice.
What is Invisalign?
Invisalign treatment uses a series of clear aligners that are almost invisible to move teeth into the desired position. This makes Invisalign a great alternative for people who don’t want their orthodontic treatment to affect their appearance.
Embrace treats complex Invisalign cases
If you've been told that your teeth are too naughty to put straight with Invisalign, come to us for a no obligation second opinion. Embrace are the only orthodontists in Canberra that regularly treat complex Invisalign cases. We have successfully treated patients with open bites, cross bites, severe crowding, missing teeth and surgical cases.
The technology has come a long way since it was launched 20 years ago. Your treatment result is no longer dependent on the product; it is dependent on the skills of your orthodontist and their treatment planning. Over half of the patients at Embrace are adults, and most have chosen Invisalign for their new smile.
How does Invisalign work?
Invisalign aligners are manufactured for each individual patient and are based on a scan taken at the beginning of your treatment, which allows the orthodontist to map out your specific treatment plan. You will need to change your aligners every two weeks to ensure your teeth keep moving into position. You will only visit our practice approximately every eight weeks for a few minutes each visit so it’s easy to fit Invisalign into your schedule.
How long does treatment take?
The length of treatment time depends on the complexity of your case, but we have treated simple cases of minor tooth alignment in six to nine months. After assessing your teeth at your initial consultation and discussing with you the results you would like to achieve, we can let you know how long your treatment will take.
Other types of Invisalign treatment
Invisalign with Mandibular Advancement - ideal for younger patients with a permanent dentition or stable late mixed dentition presenting with a large overjet (distance between the front upper and lower teeth) resulting in an incorrect molar relationship with the bite. The aligners with precision wings are a clear alternative to the bulky functional appliances like twin blocks and increase patient comfort during treatment.
Invisalign Lite- ideal for people who would like a minor change to the front section of their teeth. Treatment time is just six months. Invisalign Lite is also a good alternative for people who may have had orthodontic treatment as a child and found their teeth have moved slightly with age.
Invisalign Express – this is Invisalign’s other fast treatment options to correct misalignment of the six front teeth. Invisalign Express treatment can achieve results in as little as three months.
Main benefits of Invisalign
Invisalign aligners are cosmetically pleasing
Invisalign aligners are more hygienic as they can be removed for eating, brushing and flossing.
Invisalign aligners are more comfortable
Invisalign doesn’t require adjustments, so you’re only required to visit your orthodontic practice every 8-12 weeks.
Fewer unexpected appointments
Fewer food restrictions – aligners are out when eating so minimal breakages with hard foods
Faster and more accurate results
Invisalign aligners are a registered medical device, you should always read and follow the label as well as the instructions of your treating orthodontist.
Invisalign treatment with iTero
Using iTero technology, we can reduce the time you need to wait for your aligners and ensure that your aligners are built more precisely. Previous technology of tooth impressions or "moulds" can be uncomfortable for the patient, particularly if the patient had a strong gag reflex. We can also simulate your final tooth position. Invisalign Black Diamond Provider
At Embrace Orthodontists, our orthodontists are recognised as being Invisalign Black Diamond providers. This means we are amongst the most experienced Invisalign orthodontists in the world. Our orthodontists have undergone extensive training in the Invisalign method and are recognised as qualified professionals to administer this treatment. It also means you will get great results!
Health funds recognise the specialist training that an orthodontist undergoes. Because we are specialist orthodontists, health funds give a higher rebate to those patients having Invisalign with Embrace rather than with a dentist.
